Care of Maintenance

Any operation that is required regardless of the type of electric motor is required to be performed only by trained personnel using only specific tools and appropriate methods. Prior to any service, the machines must be completely at rest and properly disconnected from the mains, including the components, heating resistor and brake. Disabled and unlicensed technical assistants who are not authorized to perform any kind of maintenance or repair the engines are automatically responsible for any work that is performed and for any damages that may occur during its operation.

The main purpose of periodic maintenance is to extend the life of the equipment to the maximum possible extent, optimizing its performance. The fact that the buyer does not pay careful attention to all specifications and basic safety and conservation items can result in unwanted technical stops and failures of the equipment. During the maintenance process, if it is necessary to transport the motors with roller bearings or angular contact, it is essential to use shaft locking elements, which are supplied with the motor.

Wheel Loader Attachment

The inserts inserted in the braking disc are properly compacted between friction surfaces, the armature and the cap, being able to effect the braking of the engine until the exact moment it stops. If the motor is connected to the mains, the coil can be fed and the armature is directed against the housing of the electromagnet, thus reinforcing the resistance of the springs. In case the motor is disconnected from the mains at that time, the control must interrupt the coil current, causing the electromagnet to stop working. In this way, the pressure springs are able to push the armature towards the rear cover of the machine.

The lozenges upon loosening have the possibility of moving axially in their housings, and thus away from the friction surfaces. This will result in the braking process, causing the electric motor oil well motors to operate freely. The brake motor accepts up to three connecting systems, enabling slow, medium and fast braking. During slow braking, the brake coil rectifier bridge supply is made at the motor terminals without any pause. In medium and fast braking, the contact is interleaved to pause the power supply current of the rectifier bridge in the circuit.

Fundamentals of Gear Coupling

Gear coupling is used in cases requiring a significant reduction in speed. It is important that the axes remain aligned, parallel, in the case of straight gears, and in the engagement angle, in the case of conical or helical gears. Motors with sliding bearings must be directly coupled to the driven machine or by means of a gear unit. Sliding bearings may not allow coupling by pulleys and belts.

Coupling by pulleys and belts is a transmission mode used in case it is necessary to establish a gear ratio between the motor and the driven load. Excessive tension in the belts can damage the bearings and may cause the electric motor shaft to rupture.

Motors equipped with sliding bearings skf 22222 E usually have three marks on the shaft end, whereas the center mark indicates the magnetic center and the outer marks indicate the permitted axial movement limits for the rotor. The engine must therefore be coupled so that the arrow fixed to the bearing housing is positioned over the center mark at the moment the engine is running.
